Where do your strokes go?
Fellow reads every round you have played, finds the biggest leak in your game — and tells you exactly what to practise. Not stats for one round: your whole golfing record, across every course, in one place.
The app is in closed testing. It lands on the App Store first; Android follows.
Home — the handicap and the curve
A coach that knows your numbers
Most golf apps show you the stats for the round you just finished. Golf Fellow adds every round together — across every course — and finds what is actually costing you the most strokes.
The screenshots below are from an earlier build of the app, which was in Icelandic. The app is in English now.
The round read, not just counted
Fellow goes through the round hole by hole, points at the strokes that cost you most, and writes down what to do about it. You can ask Fellow straight out: “six on the 14th — what happened there?”
The numbers are measured. The verdict is Fellow's. The two are never mixed — you can always see which is which.
That line is the price boundary too: the numbers on the card are free — strokes over par on every hole, the dearest holes, the blind spot. Fellow's words come with the subscription.
Fellow's analysis of a round
Your course, hole by hole
One page per course you play: rounds, average, best round — and your average score on every single hole.
It also ranks the holes that cost you most on that course. At Húsatóftavöllur you can see at a glance which three holes eat your round.

Who is ahead this month
Mánuðurinn — “the month” — ranks you and your friends by best score and by rounds played, and shows who won last month. That is usually what pulls people back in on the first.
Everything to do with friends is free: friends' rounds on your home screen, the shared scorecard, the friend page. None of it sits behind the subscription.
Mark your shots where they land
Log the round as you play it. GPS marks every shot, the trail is drawn onto the scorecard, and the distance to the green is always on screen.
The watch comes along: mark a shot from your wrist without taking the phone out of your pocket.
A live club recommendation comes with the subscription — for example “130 m, 10 m/s against, plays like 152 m”, and which club out of your own measured distances gets there.
A round, live
You bring your own data
A screenshot of a scorecard from Golfbox or any other golf app, a simulator or launch-monitor export, a round typed in by hand — it all goes in, and it all counts towards the same statistics.
Your handicap can be fetched with your own GSÍ number. The handicap only: never your scores, never anybody else's rounds.
Golf Fellow never goes and gets data about you from Golfbox or any other golf app on its own account. You import your own export. That is not a policy we could change our minds about — the app is built that way.
Importing your data
Free and subscription
The line is simple, and it does not move.
Your own golf is free
Every measurement, every card, every statistic drawn from your own rounds — however much arithmetic sits behind it. You do not pay to get your own numbers back.
The subscription is the work done for you
Fellow reads the round and writes the analysis. And out on the course: which club, in this wind, at this distance. That is a decision taken for you — not a number you read afterwards.

Your data, your rules
Golf Fellow never fetches data about you from Golfbox or any other golf app unless you bring it yourself. That is not just a policy — it is how the app is built.
Your location stays put
The app uses your phone's location to work out which course you are on. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
You can delete everything
Your account and all of your data can be deleted from inside the app itself — not by email and a wait.
Strangers see a name and a club
Someone who is not your friend never sees your handicap or your rounds — only your name, your club and how many friends you share. You can hide yourself from search entirely.
